The story

C.F. Hollberg Sr., a Senoia merchant who also helped secure a second railroad for the town, built the Hollberg Hotel as Senoia’s principal hotel during its early-1900s industrial growth. Presidential candidate William Jennings Bryan stayed there while campaigning in 1908, and Confederate veterans held reunions there. The hotel’s original run ended in 1930 during the Depression. K.D. and Virginia Wood bought it in 1978 and reopened it as The Veranda bed-and-breakfast in 1984. It changed hands in 2007 and 2022 and appeared in the 2006 film Broken Bridges.
