The story
Designed by architect John B. Hogg, best known for Trinity Methodist Church on Telfair Square, and built in 1870-71 as a private home; the city’s building map and Wikipedia record it as half of the Charles Groover Duplex at 107-109 West Liberty Street. The house was later converted to law offices. A local entrepreneur bought it in 2004 and spent nearly two years restoring it to the Secretary of the Interior’s standards, keeping the original floor plan. Sisters Patty and Suzy Homer bought it in 2018; the inn says it won a Historic Preservation Award from the Historic Savannah Foundation.
