The story

The building on Ponce de Leon Avenue dates to 1924. The Clermont Lounge, Atlanta’s longest continually operating strip club, opened in its basement in 1965. The Clermont Motor Hotel above it was ordered closed by the health department in December 2009. Clermont Hotel Partners bought the property in 2013, and it reopened in 2018 as Hotel Clermont after an extensive renovation. It was listed on the National Register in 2021.
