The story

The house stands on former Model Land Company land, the real estate arm of Henry Flagler, beside the route of the 18th-century Rosario defense line. The inn says it was likely built around 1904 as a one-story frame residence; an early resident was George A. Colee, whose family ran a horse-carriage company from the 1880s. It later housed offices before Ray and Sandy Toole opened it as an inn in 1998. Kathleen Hurley owned it from 2001 to 2015, and since autumn 2015 it has belonged to Joe and Margaret Finnegan, owners of the St. Francis Inn.
