The story

The 18-story Arrott Building was constructed in 1902 for James Arrott and was added to the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation’s landmarks list in 2000. HRI Properties restored it with Desmone Architects, and Stonehill Taylor designed interiors themed on smoke and molten metal around the original marble walls, ceilings and arched windows. It opened as The Industrialist, a 124-room Autograph Collection hotel with the Rebel Room restaurant.
