The story
Farmer Melchior Siep acquired the land in 1787, a decade before Fogelsville existed. Joel Mohr built the current farmhouse in 1870, which is still the main building. The farm was abandoned after its last owner, William Kirschner, died in the 1970s, and Al and Beth Granger bought and renovated it, opening it as a country inn in 1985. The tractor shed became the Carriage House and the garage the Gate House, and barns moved from other farms were added.
