The story

New York entrepreneur Arnold Falk built this three-and-a-half-story warehouse on Harrisburg Avenue in late 1881, when Lancaster was a center of the tobacco trade. Falk sold the northern half to Albert S. Rosenbaum, and the two later combined as the Falk and Rosenbaum Tobacco Warehouse. Developers bought the building in 2004, by then one of four historic warehouses left in the area, and converted it into the Lancaster Arts Hotel. It keeps much of its original brick and some wood floors and displays more than 260 works by local artists.
