The story
George and Rachel Singer built a homestead here in 1904 and in the early 1920s sold most of their farm to Pennsylvania Power & Light, which flooded the valley to create Lake Wallenpaupack. They turned what remained into a 14-room lakefront inn. In 1943 Rachel’s sister Marjorie Ehrhardt and her husband George bought it, converting the farmhouse and barn into a resort, and the family added rooms and cottages in 1966. Jerry and Alice Ehrhardt’s sons Eric, Steve and Craig later joined and carried it into the 21st century.
