The story
Henrietta Dyer Ellerbeck, an English convert who married Thomas W. Ellerbeck (Brigham Young’s chief clerk) in 1863, had the two-story brick house built in 1892 on a corner lot in the Avenues; the state survey credits the design to Dallas & Hedges. She lived there until 1903, when the house was sold to the Armstrong family. Kara and Tyler Alden have owned the bed and breakfast since 2020; Cafe 140B operates in the carriage house behind it.
