The story
A three-story house at the corner of Ash and South 7th Streets, listed as a contributing building in the 1987 NRHP district inventory; the inn’s CVB listing dates it to 1904. It is now a six-room B&B (The Heron, The Wren, The Finch, The Starling, The Swallow and The Hummingbird) with period antiques, a wraparound porch and a heated in-ground pool. The innkeeper and general manager is Susan Martin. Beyond this, little documented history was found.
