The story

Matthias Burnett built the house in 1770 on land William Fithian had bought in 1650. From 1795 Jonathan Dayton ran a store in it, beginning eight generations of Dayton ownership, and a 2002 renovation uncovered a bottle hidden during an 1873 renovation. Builder Ben Krupinski and Bonnie Krupinski restored it as a restaurant and inn, which has hosted guests including the Clinton family.
