The story
Troutbeck is a 250-acre estate on the Webutuck River and Dunham Creek that it describes as ‘home for centuries to naturalists, poets and romantics’. Its circa-1919 Manor House holds 17 guest rooms along with the bar, dining room, library and ballroom, beside a 1916 walled garden. Benton Cottage, dated to about 1770, is the original wing of Benton House.
