The story

Merchant George Crippen built the Queen Anne mansion in 1901 to celebrate his success, and architect R. Newton Bresee designed it to let sunlight in from changing angles through the seasons, earning it the name ‘Sunnyside House’. It is now a bed and breakfast with an acre of gardens and an outdoor pool, less than ten minutes’ walk from downtown.
