The story

The three-story brick hotel on Hermann’s riverfront was built in 1868-69 for Gottlieb Rippstein, with a six-bay facade, segmental-arched windows with stone keystones and a balcony on the second floor; it was altered in 1886-88. It faces the Missouri River on Wharf Street. Restored to its Victorian appearance, it now rents three period rooms and offers tours by appointment.
