The story
Nathan Nash, son of Watch Hill’s lighthouse keeper and hotelier Jonathan Nash, built the Narragansett House around 1845; it was one of Watch Hill’s earliest hotels and is among the village’s oldest surviving buildings. The inn says it and the Ocean House were the only original hotels left after the 1938 hurricane. Singer Dana Valery Catalano and architect Peter Catalano bought it in 1985 and renamed it the Watch Hill Inn. It was renovated in 2006 and again in 2013 and is now run by the Ocean House Collection.
