The story
H.H. Williams crossed the Missouri at Chamberlain in 1904 and homesteaded here, living first in a sod dugout and then a log home. In 1923 H.H. and Grace Williams hired Carl Werner to build their Sears “Honorbilt” home, choosing the Alhambra model. The house has 409 windowpanes and an original Sears bathroom with a clawfoot tub. Their great-granddaughter Lyndy Ireland now runs the bed and breakfast.
