The story
Pioneer oilman Richard O. Dulaney hired Fort Worth architect Wiley G. Clarkson to design the Art Deco tower, completed in 1930 with zig-zag motifs, Mayan accents and terra cotta. It took its name from the Sinclair Oil Company, which leased offices soon after completion, and the Sinclair-Prairie Oil Company moved its headquarters here in 1932. The building now operates as a hotel near Sundance Square.
