The story
Architect F. D. Hyde designed the four-story Stick Style house for the B. B. Richards family. The interior survives largely original, with eight varieties of varnished woodwork, eight fireplaces, embossed wallcoverings and more than 80 stained glass windows. The original owner’s family occupied it until it became a bed and breakfast, established in 1989 by David Stuart, with Michelle as innkeeper since July 1989.
