The story
In 1922 Mrs. E. C. Bliss, who also built the nearby Pine Crest Inn, bought the Lexington, a two-story frame hotel. The next year she demolished it and built The Manor, a four-story L-shaped hotel finished in a concrete material called Kellastone, with guest rooms on the top three floors. Pinehurst Resort acquired The Manor decades later, and a year-long renovation was completed in 2019.
