The story

John Mouat built the mansion in 1890 in the Potter Highlands neighborhood, which the inn says was created and settled by Scots in 1863. Its ballroom hosted teas, dances and social functions for Denver’s elite through the 1890s and into the early 1900s. Today the house has five guest suites, a grand ballroom, a commercial kitchen and three bars, and doubles as a wedding and event venue.
