The story

The King’s Daughters, a Christian service organization founded in 1886, ran this house as a home for unwed mothers and infants from 1911 until the late 1970s, and many births and adoptions took place here. It closed in the early 1980s and fell into disrepair. A Natchez preservation group bought it in 2004, and the Cavin family bought and renovated it in 2007. It stands on the bluff about 300 feet above the river.
