The story
John Newbold acquired 500 acres along the Fern Brook in 1760 and built the farmhouse about 1761, adding two bays in 1791. Charles Morgan bought the farm in 1881 to breed imported shorthorn cattle, and John L. Kuser of Trenton bought it in 1899; the Kuser family still runs it. In 1996, 230 acres were permanently preserved as farmland. The manor house now has seven guest bedrooms alongside a nursery, CSA farm and education center.
