The story
Creede boomed after silver strikes in the early 1890s, and the hotel says nearly a hundred ‘hotels’ operated at the peak. Zang’s Hotel, named for its owner, was considered one of the town’s finest. Today it runs as a four-room hotel with a restaurant on Main Street.
