The story
The inn was built in 1898 one block up Main Street from Castine’s harbor, with a wraparound porch and perennial gardens overlooking the water. Its eighteen guest rooms, including five suites, are on the second and third floors, and the main floor holds a sitting room, a breakfast room painted with a mural of the town, and the Madockawando pub.
