The story
The hotel is a full renovation of the former Exchange Bank Building, the only pre-1900 building left on its downtown block, facing both Westminster Street and Kennedy Plaza. Its brownstone trim, oriel bay windows and slate mansard roof survive outside, and the lobby atrium was once an open street between two late-1800s buildings. Developer Joseph R. Paolino Jr. opened it in October 2021 with 47 rooms and named it for his late mother.
