The story
The TA Ranch house and barn date from 1882, and in 1892 the ranch was the scene of a three-day siege during the Johnson County War. Gunmen cut rifle ports into the ranch house and barn, and both still show the bullet holes. The Madsen family now runs the 8,000-acre cattle ranch as an all-inclusive guest ranch with rooms in the ranch house, milk barn, granary and bunkhouse.
