The story
The steel-frame Union Trust Building at Fourth and Walnut went up in 1901 as a retail bank headquarters with offices above, and was enlarged in 1914 and 1931. Wikipedia credits D.H. Burnham & Company, with Graham, Anderson, Probst & White on the later work. After years as an office building it was converted into a Renaissance hotel in 2014.
