The story
Park Place replaced the Campbell House hotel of 1873. Its 10-story tower, designed by Benjamin H. Marshall and completed in 1930, rises 125 feet and is the tallest structure in Traverse City. In the 1960s the Park Place Dome was added as a convention space; its roof was an early use of plastic as a structural form.
