The story
The Bretton Arms was built in 1896 on the grounds that became the Mount Washington Hotel resort and served for many years as staff housing before it was restored as a country inn. It was sold with the Mount Washington Hotel, The Lodge and the Bretton Woods ski area to CNL Financial Group in 2006. Omni took over management in September 2009 and bought the resort in December 2015. Historic Hotels of America lists it separately from the main hotel.
