The story

J.W. Denio built the Sheridan Flouring Mills in 1920-21, and its 144-foot grain elevator and six-story mill are still the landmark of south Sheridan. In 1978 the mill became a motel, with guest rooms set into the first two floors behind new window bays and offices on the floors above. It was listed on the National Register in 1997, and the Moody family runs it today.
