The story
Seattle architect Earl W. Morrison designed the Art Deco school, built in 1931 as Bothell’s first junior high and later named for its first principal, Wilbert A. ‘Andy’ Anderson; a matching bay of classrooms was added in 1941. It later housed the district’s alternative high school until 2009. McMenamins bought it in 2010, had it placed on the Bothell Register of Historic Places in 2013, and turned the classrooms on its three floors into 72 guest rooms, opening in 2015.
