The story

The Two Harbors Light Station has guided ships to the ore docks of Agate Bay since 1892 and is the oldest continuously operating lighthouse on Minnesota’s North Shore. Keepers lived at the station until the light was automated from Duluth in 1981. The Lake County Historical Society opened the bed and breakfast in 1999 in the keeper’s quarters, and room revenue helps fund the site’s preservation; guests have the grounds to themselves after the lighthouse museum closes.
