The story
The inn says its first floor was built about 1800 as part of a fortified Spanish settlement around La Loma Plaza, then called the Plazuela de San Antonio. The adobe hacienda sits behind high adobe walls about two and a half blocks from Taos Plaza and was restored as a bed and breakfast with kiva fireplaces and hand-carved woodwork. The surrounding La Loma Plaza district was listed on the National Register in 1982.
