The story

The building was the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad’s tobacco warehouse on Henderson’s Wharf, completed in 1897; the inn calls it E. Francis Baldwin’s masterpiece. The Historic American Engineering Record documented it as the B&O Railroad Tobacco Warehouse (HAER MD-132), including an August 1896 city plat of Henderson’s Wharf and 1942 drawings for rebuilding the wharf. It now operates as a waterfront inn in Fells Point.
