The story
Parsons Construction built the 11-story tower in 1930 to Joseph G. McArthur’s design for Garrett and Agor, Inc., who named it for the Redick family, long-time owners of the site. The building combined storefronts, offices and a large parking structure. It became a hotel in the mid-1980s, operating as a Radisson and then a Best Western until it closed in 2009. White Lotus Group bought it in 2010 and created the Hotel Deco, which now belongs to Hilton’s Tapestry Collection.
