The story

Conrad Hilton built the hotel in 1939 as the fourth he developed; the hotel calls it New Mexico’s first high-rise. The NRHP record credits architect Anton Korn. A 2008 restoration reopened it as Hotel Andaluz, named for Spain’s AndalucĂa region, and the hotel says it is LEED Gold certified.
