The story
Harvey M. Davey, a general contractor and bricklayer, built the house in 1908 during a growth period driven by Idaho’s lumber industry and the consolidation of the Coeur d’Alene mines. It is listed on the National Register as the Harvey M. Davey House. The nomination calls it a nearly unaltered example of early Colonial Revival design and says almost no middle-class houses in town used brick at that date. When it was listed in 1985, the interior still had its fireplace mantel, segmental archway and built-in china closet. The inn lists seven guest rooms, and the 315 Cuisine restaurant is in the house.
