The story
The house at 541 Main Street was built as a boarding house for mine employees and was known for decades as the Garcia House after the family that owned it for more than fifty years. It has also served as an ashram and a restaurant. Restorations in 1994, 2003 and 2014 kept uneven floors and original beadboard ceilings. The inn takes its name from Jerome’s nickname, ‘Ghost City’, not from any haunting.
