The story

Owners Joe and Evy Harman bought the adjoining Young and Womack houses in 1983 to house their antique collection, then added the Bowers House and turned the group into an inn. Young House, about 1810, predates Staunton’s 1840s and 1850s boom. Womack House was built in the 1840s and later held a doctor’s office; Bowers House was an 1880s boarding house; the 1840s Patrick House was a Greek Revival mansion remodeled by architect T.J. Collins and Sons in the late 1800s.
