The story

Albert Kahn designed the Stambaugh Building in 1907 as an eight-story office block for the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company, which filled the top five floors, with Euwer’s Department Store below. It was expanded to 12 stories in 1914. By the 2000s it was mostly vacant; it was bought for restoration in 2012 and opened in 2018 as the 125-room DoubleTree by Hilton Youngstown Downtown.
