The story
Devil’s Den was created on October 13, 1933, and the first CCC company, made up of men from North Dakota, arrived a week later. They built the road from West Fork, a stone dam on Lee Creek, trails and cabins of native stone and logs. Several CCC structures were later lost, but EoA calls it one of the most complete and best-preserved CCC-era parks in the country.
