The story
Samuel and Adele Marcus commissioned the hotel, which the hotel calls the first independent work of architect William F. Cody, completed in 1947. It helped define Palm Springs’ desert modernist style. The City Council designated it a Class 1 Historic Site on May 2, 2012.
