The story
Professor Bolling Hall Crenshaw built the Victorian house across from the Halliday-Pick House, and the inn says a second floor was soon added to house university students. Crenshaw was one of the three-man Administrative Committee that governed the school in Auburn from 1932 to 1935, during the Depression. The inn describes itself as a guest house of nearly forty years, in Auburn’s oldest neighborhood. Coach Pat Dye planted more than twenty trees on the grounds, and a cottage carries his name.
