The story
The main house was built about 1896 as the R. H. Platt summer cottage in the Cape Arundel colony, facing the ocean. It was later owned by Daniel Woodhull, president of American Bank Note, then converted into the Sea Crest Inn, and was renamed the Cape Arundel Inn by Ann R. Pales, who bought it in 1980. Today the resort also offers rooms in the Club House, the former Old Fort Inn estate, and a cottage.
