The story
John T. Brackenridge, nephew of philanthropist George Brackenridge, built the two-story Greek Revival house around 1901 as a four-apartment flat on South Alamo Street. In April 1985 it was set on rollers, turned around and moved to Madison Street, and Carolyn Cole restored it and opened it in 1986 as the first B&B in the King William district. She received a San Antonio Conservation Society restoration award in 1987.
