The story
The inn describes an 1830s antebellum home two blocks from St. Mary Basilica, run by a father and daughter. The district inventory describes the houses at 815 and 817 Main as frame residences of about 1825-30, with 815 once set on a raised basement removed about 1897-1904 and 817 moved to Main Street in the same period. Nothing was found on who built it.
