The story
Dr. Carl V. Reynolds, Asheville’s city health officer and a tuberculosis specialist, built the porticoed Neoclassical Revival house in 1909. In September 1920 he sold it to the Grove Park School, a private school for girls, which repaired fire damage and added a classroom building. The house was listed on the National Register in 1982 and now operates as an inn.
