The story
Built in 1938, the 3 V Tourist Court is a row of six small Craftsman-influenced frame cabins, with a later manager’s house and three non-contributing units. The National Register listing calls it an extremely rare example of an early stage of the motel industry, between roadside tourist camps and modern motels. Its owners say the cabins have been renovated but keep many original fixtures.
