The story

The hotel joins three downtown storefront buildings: the 1914 Rose Talbert Building, an early mixed-use block remodeled with a stucco facade in 1936; the 1920 Powell Furniture Building, later used by the Knights of Columbus, Sears Roebuck and Jenkins Auto Parts; and a Western Auto store of about 1940. The 2016 restoration removed a 1980s aluminum slipcover to reveal the intact 1940s storefront that is now the main entrance.
