The story
El Encanto is a cottage-style resort on Santa Barbara’s Riviera, with garden rooms, suites and bungalows set on a hillside overlooking the city and the ocean. Its buildings date from 1913 to 1930, and the City of Santa Barbara designated the property the El Encanto Hotel Historic District landmark in 2013. The hotel’s rooms draw on Spanish-colonial design.
